    La apertura comercial y el crecimiento de la industria de calzado nacional, para el período 2000 - 2015

    In our country the commercial opening was not very favorable, reason why Ecuador at Latin American level fuel the country that took more time to industrialize, therefore, the manufactured footwear was not of competitive quality in comparison with the foreign footwear, for that reason The present research project is carried out with the problem caused by foreign footwear in our country. The present research project seeks to study the incidence of trade opening in the growth of the national footwear industry through an analysis of the index of trade opening of Ecuador in the footwear sector. In the same way, it addresses the behavior that has had the growth of this industry at national and provincial level; a diagnosis is made of the production levels of the footwear sector in Ecuador in relation to the indicators of trade liberalization. There is also a description of statistical information regarding the production of footwear, the coefficient of external openness, the rate of export opening and the penetration of imports during the period covered. Finally, a multiple linear regression model of shoe production is structured according to the variables proposed in the present project.
