(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Diseño y Arquitectura. Carrera de Diseño de Modas., 2020-01) Sánchez Vásquez, Gisela Marissa; Guamán Llamuca, Carlos Alberto
The project began with the obtaining of the different objectives which are to determine processes and characteristics in denim, establish its processes and elaborate each established garment. We investigated about the history of denim, from its origins to the present time, in addition to the most relevant garments that are considered formal, information was sought on the different types of denim that could be found in the market which are suitable for the Formal garment handling, for which the Vicunha company provided information and textiles suitable for this project, arriving to obtain a proposal where the designs represent innovation, comfort and individualism, since in the surveys carried out the market, the gender and what they are looking for. The elements of the design to make the collections were analyzed, based on a tendency to know, shapes, colors and textures, proposing several sketches with which creativity and the information bases that were achieved throughout this process were used. A collection of six outfits was made of which three were created for a physical presentation of the same, each suit was made with different textiles in denim, either with the variation of its composition and values of each, as well as with a differentiation of Washings from dewatering to a Stone 1. The results that were obtained are that denim is a moldable material which can withstand various processes or crafts by means of the washes that were made, in addition that it was possible to fuse other textiles giving a cleaner finish accompanied by the use of seams. Thus getting to have costumes for women, with which they can have comfort to go to an event or their work wearing clothes made from denim.
