    La creación de valor en el sector de curtido y adobo de cueros del cantón Ambato desde la perspectiva financiera y operativa

    El presente proyecto de investigación tiene por objetivo analizar, tanto desde la perspectiva financiera como operativa, la creación de valor en el sector de curtido y adobo de cueros del cantón Ambato durante el periodo 2015-2019, sector considerado como dinamizador en la economía ecuatoriana. Este análisis se lo realizará, utilizando nuevas herramientas enfocadas a proporcionar información relevante para agentes de interés. Para realizar el diagnóstico, se analizan los factores financieros y operativos más relevantes de las empresas en estudio. Para analizar los factores financieros, se aplican indicadores de endeudamiento financiero, del activo y patrimonial, y apalancamiento; mientras que, para los factores operativos, se aplican indicadores de crecimiento en ventas, margen EBITDA, relación del capital de trabajo neto operativo con ventas y rotación de activo fijo. Posteriormente, para conocer la creación o destrucción de valor en las empresas del sector, se emplea la metodología del Valor Económico Agregado, EVA. Además, la aplicación de un modelo econométrico de datos de panel. Los principales resultados permiten determinar que, en su mayoría las empresas del sector de curtido y adobo de cueros han destruido valor en el período de estudio, excepto en el año 2018 la empresa Tenería San José Cía. Ltda. es la única que generó valor, esto a pesar de que la mayoría de empresas generaron beneficios económicos positivos. Finalmente, el margen EBITDA es el indicador que mayor incidencia tiene para la creación de valor en las empresas, seguido del endeudamiento financiero, patrimonial y del activo.

    The present research project is developed in the autonomous government decentralized municipal of Mocha, which offers various services such as the supply of drinking water to the high population of this place. The main problem is that there is an incorrect determination of the rate by the consumption of drinking water, in addition to an inadequate infrastructure because there are damaged water meters and in the markets of the town there are no systems of measurement that will help verify that percentage of water supplied is actually consumed and therefore invoiced, and finally the water waste caused by leakage of underground water, make the money raised does not fund the full costs and expenses necessary in the processing of the water. To control this problem, is proposed to review and determine the value of the meter cubic of water, in which all the necessary inputs for the treatment of drinking water are taken into account and thus to determine the actual cost, as well as the review of infrastructure (pipes, meters) drinking water by maintenance technicians by detecting water leaks and repair them also locate underground water intakes and apply appropriate sanctions, thus improving the infrastructure and the quality of the service provided to the community.
