Item Influencia de la Terapia de Integración Sensorial en el Tratamiento de la Hipotonía en Niños con Síndrome de Down(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Terapia Física, 2016-11-01) Romero Rivera, Marlon Alexis; Campos Moposita, Ángela Priscila Lcda.The aim of the following investigation project is to analyze the sensory integration therapy influence over the hypotonia treatment in children with Down syndrome, to verify the muscles development benefits important in the psychomotricity. Where the hypotonia was evaluated through an observation form based on psychomotor activities such as: seating stability, crawling, standing position, marching and the fine motor control. The population for this study were 30 children from the Elementary School “Ambato Specialized” in the age from 1 to 4 years with hypotonia caused by Down syndrome. Furthermore, to prove the hypotonia in which was achieved the muscle tone decreased that presented the children. The investigation project was based on the qualitative and quantitative approach since the data was collected through the observation form, based on fine and gross motor activities and punctuated in the Campbell Scale. In the beginning that was obtained that 37% of children with severe hypotonia and end only 7% of them.
