    Las subvenciones gubernamentales y la presentación de estados financieros según Normas Internacionales de Contabilidad en el Ecuador

    The project is carried out as a theoretical-practical contribution that analyzes the accounting treatment of government subsidies where analytical support is used as central concepts of the economic theory of subsidies so that subsidies should only induce minimum changes in the consumption of goods And services in society and from an equity perspective, the poor should be the largest beneficiaries of subsidies and the bias towards high income groups should be small; In Ecuador the subsidies are directed to products of massive consumption, that is the case of fuel, Gas and electric energy; Through IAS 20 "Accounting for Subsidies" where paragraph six of the standard states that such government grants are known as subsidies and transfers or premiums; For this study, 10 companies from the agricultural sector and 9 from the construction sector are sampled, with balance sheets published in the Superintendency of Companies, drawing a subsidy expenditure ratio based on relevant documents. The results confirm that none of the companies analyzed registers Government aid in their Financial Statements affecting the payment of income tax, legal reserve and net utility of shareholders.
