    Pneumonia is an inflammatory response of the lung parenchyma to the arrival of microorganisms to the distal airway of immunocompetent persons who have not been admitted. The term atypical pneumonia describes the unusual manifestation of pneumonia; it is characterized by respiratory symptoms, fever and radiological findings. Their common origin are bacteria and viruses, difficult to differentiate clinically varies by age group and the likely site where the infection was acquired. It is described as pneumonia caused by a group of relatively common pathogens (Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Legionella spp and some viruses).
