    This research paper discusses the socioeconomic and the personal insurance from the habitants of Ambato city, the statistical method that was applied was, the Chi Square, because this method checks the correlation between socioeconomic statuses and hiring personal insurance of the city of Ambato. The factors that influence when hiring a personal insurance was analyzed, and notes that it is primarily the price. The property insurance are more welcoming of personal insurance in Ambato city Although the rate of insurance premium income of people has increased over the years, it is necessary that there are laws where the contracting this type of insurance, primarily in companies whose risk is very high qualification. Insurers must inform the user their coverage policies to decrease the negative of a claim, the insured building confidence. The insurance brokers to be an insurance broker, also has an obligation to publicize the benefits of insurance contracts and advise people better in terms of coverage, benefits and premium volume. For this, a viable proposal was designed as a Social Marketing Plan, in order to sensitize people about the importance of insurance and insurance benefits they offer.
