    The present investigation was developed on the theme "Early Stimulation in the premature newborn in the hospital setting" theme whose general objective was to determine the impact of early stimulation in premature newborns of the neonatology services of the Provincial General Latacunga Hospital and as specific objectives To investigate the techniques of early stimulation applied in the hospital environment, to evaluate the development of premature newborns in the intensive care area of neonatology and to describe the evolution of premature newborns of the neonatology services receiving early stimulation. We worked with a population of 50 live preterm newborns, this research has a qualitative-quantitative approach. For the collection of information, the technique of observation, data collection and as instrument was used the Myla assessment scale, to determine the degree of evolution of development of children admitted versus discharge, obtaining as a result that Stimulation if it influences the development of premature infants in the General Provincial Hospital Latacunga.
