    Disfunción Motora de Esófago Tratada con Cardiomiotomía de Heller + Funduplicatura de Dor

    Motor disorders of the esophagus are abnormal motility of the esophageal body and / or its sphincters, which are produced by alterations in the mechanism of muscle or neurohormonal control and result in an excess or defect of contractile activity or sequence in which it occurs. The pathology investigated about these disorders is achalasia where treatment is aimed at relieving symptoms because it is an incurable disease, and the treatment applied to this condition is surgical and there may be conservative treatments. Therefore this work focuses on determining the best method for solving achalasia is Heller myotomy associated with Dor fundoplication. Case report: Female patient, 22 years old, born and living in Ambato , single, studying higher level instruction , right hand, evangelical christian religion , blood type unknown, student occupation. presenting symptoms of progressive dysphagia initially to solids, then liquids 2 years of evolution , low progressive weight , weight 1 year ago 130 lb and current weight 101 lb , regurgitation of food the previous day , no hematemesis also chest pain substernal 8/10 EVA so that attends Diagnosis: Patient with symptoms compatible with achalasia and after performing additional tests Heller myotomy + Dor fundoplication is decided Critical: Patient whose age is in an age group in which manifests itself most often this disease also is a disease little known in our area so it can occur several misdiagnoses and therefore their treatment, so there is a long delay in the time of onset of symptoms and time to be diagnosed . Discussion: It aims to improve the level of knowledge of motor disorders of the esophagus especially achalasia. Furthermore it aims to improve the quality and responsiveness of care implemented in health care centers of the first and second level for a timely transfer
