    Análisis del gasto público en salud y educación con la incidencia en el desarrollo económico del Ecuador en el período 2007-2018

    Ecuador is a country with different social shortcomings and large economic gaps among its citizens. Because of this, it is important to analyze the levels of investment made by the central government in the areas of health and education in order to determine their importance for the economic development of the country. The data is obtained from the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Ministry of Finance in their reports on the General State Budget (PGE). These data with the collaboration of the ECOTRIM software are quarterly, to later apply the Ordinary Least Squares models: Lin-Lin, Lin-Log, Log-Lin and Log-Log; Once the statistics of each model have been obtained, the most significant model for the investigation is chosen under the criteria of p-value, F-value and Akaike's criterion. Finally, it is concluded that there is a positive impact of investment in health and education on the economic development of Ecuador in the period 2007-2018.
