(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-02-01) Zúñiga Oñate, Evelyn Ivonne; Ortiz Villalba, Paola Gabriela Lcda. Mg.
Central stability is a set of different structures such as muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments that have the function of maintaining the spinal column, stabilizing the lumbar and pelvic area, improving balance and coordination and supporting both internal and external forces. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine the effects of the application of spinal column stabilizing muscle training on the age range of 23 to 46 years in the SIS ECU-911 staff. This research is of an observational, explanatory and applicative type, which had 72 participants who attended 67 sessions twice a day, doing core stabilization exercises, and stretching to relax at the end of each session. An initial evaluation and a final evaluation were carried out in which Eva Test, Biering Test, Spurling Biering Test, Romberg Test, Adams Test were applied without suspending the training activities. After the application of spinal training and the final evaluation, it was concluded that there was a notable decrease in specific pain in the lumbar and cervical area, an increase in abdominal strength, greater balance, and disappearance of nerve compression, after having carried out the treatment with core exercises.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-02-01) Almeida Benavides, Cristina Liliana; Ortiz Villalba, Paola Gabriela Lcda. Mg.
Urinary incontinence is a common symptom in the third age and this causes a negative impact on the quality of life, which is why this research is developed with the aim of analyzing urinary incontinence in the elderly, in the Province of Tungurahua. For which an exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional methodology was used that included 152 senior citizens who attend the alternative centers promoted by the MIES and Provincial Government of Tungurahua of the following sectors: San Fernando, Apatug, Izamba, Montalvo, Pinllo, Santa Rosa, Atahualpa, Huachi Grande considering that they are groups of high vulnerability. As instruments of data collection, the ICIQ-SF questionnaire was used to evaluate the UI regarding frequency, quantity and affectation and a history questionnaire for the characterization of the population. With the development of the research it was concluded that there is a high incidence of UI in the third age, since 74.3% suffers it. In addition, the most frequent type of incontinence is mixed, which is characterized by urgency and loss of urine before physical efforts. The main male risk factors were advanced age, prostate and female problems, BMI (overweight-obesity), advanced age, vaginal births and multiparity. In addition, it was determined that UI significantly affects the quality of life of the elderly as this situation more than causing an impact on hygiene limits the functionality of the sufferer.

Mg.
The purpose of this work is to determine the importance of the Gleen Doman method for the development of language skills, through the analysis of clinical evolution, risk factors, critical points, in a 2-year-old male patient, who resides in the Cristo el Rey, with focal epilepsy that presents a deficit in his neurodevelopment, in the Type C HealthCenter of the city of Latacunga. The epilepsy in the present case is of febrile origin, since in the minor's family there is no preexisting history of it, it is considered that epilepsy is an abnormal disorder of the electrical activity of the brain, which caused a deficit in the neuro development, with a neuronal affection. In the city of Quito, the Dr. Specialist in neuropediatrics determined that said deficit in neurodevelopment is type II autism. Due to the diagnosis, the area of language that istypical in patients with Autism can be affected, for which the neurofunctional reorganization is taken into consideration, through the Glenn Doman method. The purpose of which is to rehabilitate patients with brain injuries, taking into consideration neuroplasticity at an early age, thus increasing neural pathways through the use of bits of intelligence.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Fisica, 2017-07-01) Jaramillo Fiallos, Marco Misael; Ortiz Villalba, Paola Gabriela Lcda. Mg.
The following research aims to classify the musculoskeletal pathologies in the public and private health units of the Colta and Guamote cantons of the province of Chimborazo and determine the prevalence of these diseases through the database provided by the health district 06D04, 182990 patients were taken to the Health Units of both cantons. For the respective analysis, only those people suffering from musculoskeletal diseases who have 8733 added the two cantons have been taken into account. Data were identified using the ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases 10th Edition) instrument. Currently the high prevalence of musculoskeletal diseases has a very important impact on the limitation and normal work performance of Ecuadorian workers and above all in the inhabitants of the cantons mentioned that devote much of their work to agriculture and livestock. The present research is exploratory-descriptive because it is an information survey, moreover, it is predominantly quantitative-qualitative, because these data are going to be expressed in letters and numbers. Qualitative research makes participant observation and open observations of a reality. By means of the analysis and interpretation of the data, it was possible to identify that in Colta (5633), more people are requesting attention due to musculoskeletal pathologies than in the Canton Guamote (3100). However, the prevalence and percentage of this type are similar of pathologies is the two cantons. At the end of this investigation, it was possible to determine that there is a higher prevalence of pathologies such as unspecified polyarthrosis, unspecified lumbago, myalgia and other polyarthroses. It should be noted that during the investigation there are no private care units.
