(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas. Carrera de Marketing y Gestión de Negocios., 2017-10) Neto Mullo, Estefanía Monserrat; Ng Sánchez, Chayanee Iván; Castro Analuiza, Juan Carlos
Tourism in Ecuador has been developed thanks to the strengthening of the productive matrix, and especially since, it is considered one of the main transversal axes for the economy of the country. In Tungurahua, there are 2690 enterprises in tourism which are divided into accommodation; feeding; Recreation, amusement and recreation; And, travel agencies and tourist transport; However, the cadaster of the Tungurahua Chamber of Tourism shows that 69% of the projects fail in the first 5 years. For this reason, this work has focused on the demographic variables that affect tourist enterprises in Tungurahua, establishing financing, education and training as the main factors in research, to establish their influence and correlation with these variables in the growth of the tourism sector. The results obtained by performing the bivariate and partial correlation analysis with SPSS demonstrate that there is a very high Pearson correlation level and a positive dispersion diagram which means that if there is greater financing, education-training or experience, will be higher growth of enterprises in the tourism sector. It is concluded that the demographic factors that influence tourism enterprises in the province of Tungurahua are financing, education-training and experience, which influence positively or negatively when undertaking a tourism venture, in addition to the theoretical models of results of the research with the strongest correlations of each variable and its main characteristic.
