(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-09-29) Núñez Barona, Joselyne Dayana; Fernández Nieto, Miriam Ivonne
Background: in Ecuador, the Comprehensive Health Care Model (MAIS) promotes providing care based on precise and clear objectives in home visits, it is stipulated that the number of daily visits must be 5 urban and 3 rural, therefore, the The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of home visits in health promotion and prevention to determine the level of learning in the community on topics such as diseases and their prevention. Methods: for this research with a quantitativedescriptive approach, a survey will be applied that includes a questionnaire of 10 questions that will allow us to identify how effective home visits are being. Results: it has been shown that users state that their health has improved thanks to home visits, however, there has also been a lack of education provided by health personnel and a lack of coverage in the population, which affects the objective health promotion and prevention. Conclusions: the Nursing staff faces difficulties in carrying out the home visit, such as the difficult access to different places due to the location of the homes, for this reason we show that the coverage is not the desired one, another difficulty is trying to explain to the users the care they should have with their health so that they can understand and there is no confusion or misunderstanding.
