Item MOVILIDAD CERVICAL Y SU RELACIÓN CON LOS TRASTORNOS DEL SUEÑO EN TAXISTAS NOCTURNOS(2025-02-26) Morante García, Lenin Nikolay; Campos Moposita, Angela Priscila; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de FisioterapiaIntroduction: The profession of taxi driver is stressful and demanding, especially at night, affecting quality of life and health. Sleep disorders and musculoskeletal problems are common and can be a long-term detrimental factor seriously affecting your quality of life, with characteristic symptoms such as insomnia and drowsiness between 50% and 63.3% respectively affecting your mental and physical health. Objective: Correlate cervical mobility and sleep disorders in night taxi drivers to identify risk factors and improve health. Methods: Non-experimental cross-sectional study with 33 taxi drivers (90.9% men, 9.1% women), average age 45.85 years and BMI 26.96. Goniometry and Stop-Bang Test were used. Results: Cervical functional limitations in right (ACLD) and left (ACLI) cervical lateral flexion. Risk factors for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): male sex, large neck size, breathing pauses and treatment for hypertension. Conclusions: The moderate negative correlation between ACLD and risk of OSA indicates that posture and functional mobility influence cervical restrictions. Individual differences should be considered for personalized interventions. It is essential to regularly evaluate cervical health and mobility, educate on relaxation techniques and promote healthy habits. This study contributes to understanding the relationship between sleep disorders and cervical health in night taxi drivers, highlighting the need for preventive and personalized interventions to improve quality of life.
