    La ansiedad y su relación con el estrés académico en estudiantes de las carreras de psicología clínica y enfermería

    The present research was carried out with the objective of identifying the relationship between the level of anxiety and the level of academic stress in university students, variables that were measured through the SISCO Inventory of academic stress and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) in a sample of 169 students belonging to the careers of Clinical Psychology and Nursing. The study was a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional approach. The results showed that the majority of the students presented high levels of both anxiety and academic stress, in terms of stress a deep level was found in the whole sample. In addition, no significant differences were found in the means of the stress level in the two careers. With respect to the verification of hypothesis academic stress was significantly related to anxiety (p<0.01), therefore, it was concluded that there is direct moderate strong correlation between the variables, i.e. the higher the level of anxiety, the higher the level of academic stress in university students of psychology and nursing.
