Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-03) Miño Altamirano, Dennis Iván; Ayala Baño, Elizabeth PaulinaThis research project deals with the development of a non-invasive electronic device to measure blood glucose levels, because current procedures for taking blood glucose levels are performed with invasive devices that hurt and bother. to the patients; In addition, since it is necessary to extract a blood sample, it compromises hygiene in said procedure. On the other hand, it can be mentioned that the economic investment in the instruments used is usually very expensive and they need to be bought constantly, since they are disposable. The device is based on the design of an optical receiver, which consists of two IR diodes which, by passing infrared light through human tissue, can extract information about glucose levels found in the blood. This is done with the help of an acoustic node that is created from the use of an ultrasonic sensor, which produces said sound at a specific frequency; causing the glucose molecules to group together in the created node and making it easier and more precise to carry out measurements with the IR diodes. The signal obtained from the optical sensor cannot be interpreted, for this reason a signal adaptation circuit is created which finally delivers the information to a controller; where the processing of the information is carried out and it is sent to the display on an LCD and the data is also sent to a web page where the information obtained is presented. The electronic device offers the ease of performing blood glucose measurements, without the need to injure any part of the body. In addition, the use of additional instruments to be able to carry out the measurements is reduced; being of great help both for the doctor and for the patient the development of a device with the qualities that it offers.
