    Control de ácarosmediante la aplicación de bacillus subtilis en el cultivo de fresa (fragaria vesca)

    In Ecuador Strawberry crop has a lot of mites. This plague has been occasioned serious losses and actually is a risk from population because attack leaves and will reduce between 60% and 80% of harvest production. The continue applicationofpesticidescaused resistof the plaguein the crop; this is why that get a production free of chemical contaminants are priority toproducer and consumer. The objective of this investigation is reduce the use of plaguicides and encourage in farmers about clean production, preserving the enviroment, by using innovative technologies with an interdisciplinary approach such as biological control byapplication of debeneficial microorganisms, reducingexpensives production costs with the applications of agrochemicals in differents stage ofStrawberry crop. This testconsisted in preparing breeding units inPetri dish containing a polyurethane foam 1.0 cm thick, humedified wiht water. Each petri dish has a leave of strawberry with five mite adults of homogene age. Applications were made ofBacillus subtilis at 7, 14 and 21dayswith 1, 2, 3 cc/L of H20. No interaction was observed between time of application and dose ofB. subtilison the mortality ofT. urticae, but nevertheless with the application of 3 cc/L at 14 days causes a mortality of 17,23% y 49,17%.
