Item Caracterización de la curva de consumo diario de la red de agua potable del sector Celiano Monge y del cantón Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Medina Altamirano, Alba Yessenia; Moya Medina, Dilon GermánThe objective of this work was to calculate the daily consumption of drinking water generated by the residential users from Celiano Monge of Canton Ambato, daily consumption curve characterized the frequencies ofinstantaneous consumption of all subscribers of the sector, which provides useful information for the design of networks, the amount of water that must produce and supply to the distribution network, sizing of meters and parameterization of change for life of the meter. For the development of this work, we began collecting necessary information about the Parroquia Celiano Monge, such as: the distribution area and the number of users that belong to it, then the study area was divided into two sectors: Celiano Monge I and II to facilitate the collection of information and cover the area of the parish in its entirety, therefore the present work focuses on the Celian Monge I, the sample was made using a "sampling non-probability by judgement of experts or discretionary", obtaining as a result 100 micro speed meters installed by the Municipal Water Company of Ambato (EMAPA), from which the daily record of the water consumption readings for a period of 60 days, this process was performed in a time interval from 08H00 to 12H00 of the day. Subsequently, we obtained the hourly consumption of a single residence in the sector, this house was chosen because, after having walked throughout the sector conforms to the characteristics necessary for the study and they are: the structure of the house, the number of inhabitants, sanitary equipment, among others, this was it done for a period of 7 days, we proceeded to conduct surveys aimed at the inhabitants of the sector in order to know the type of housing, the number of people that inhabit in each property, the number of sanitary devices, among others and in turn in the same period of time proceeded to take the water pressures that enter each part of the sample, trying to maintain a specific schedule for the taking of this information. Finally, the results are: daily consumption of 801 liters per day (0.801 m3/day), the value average per capita consumption of 183.08 l/hab/day, for hourly consumption patterns the highest peak which you registered is 273 litres (0.273 m3) in an interval of time of 06:00 H to 09:00 of the day and for daily consumption pattern day monday presents a high demand for water with a value of 938 liters per day (0.938 m3/day).
