Item Análisis de las correlaciones entre el Cbr, Dcp, propiedades índice y mecánicas en suelos de las parroquias El Tingo y Guangaje del cantón Pujilí, provincia de Cotopaxi(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2023-03) Mayorga Viteri, Bryan Joaquín; Aldas Sánchez, Milton RodrigoThe CBR test is a test that requires a lot of time and money, which is why the purpose of this experimental project is to determine a method based on an analysis of the correlations between the CBR, DCP and the index and mechanical properties that serve as a means for predicting the CBR values. To begin with the technical part, the most representative roads in the parish of El Tingo and Guangaje were identified to take soil samples. The topsoil was removed by drilling, then field tests were carried out and samples of approximately 50 kilograms were collected at each point for the different tests that were carried out in the laboratory following the AASHTO standards. Based on the results obtained in the field and laboratory tests, simple and multiple correlations were carried out using regression analysis and the least squares method, respectively. Acceptable correlations were selected according to the coefficient of determination greater than 50 percent. Finally, 20 correlations were found with a coefficient of determination ranging from 62 to 98 percent. The determination of the CBR with the DCP using the correlations showed a ratio of 73 percent, obtaining values similar to the laboratory CBR. Therefore, these results can be used in the design of flexible pavements.
