Item CALIDAD DE SUEÑO Y RESILEINCIA EN CHOFERES PROFESIONALES(2025-03-05) Lozada Torres, Joselyn Dayana; Mena Freire, Marco Antonio; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaThis study investigates the relationship between sleep quality and resilience in professional drivers. Sleep quality refers to the satisfaction and effectiveness of nighttime rest, which influences daily performance. Resilience, on the other hand, is the ability to adapt to adverse situations. The study sample consisted of 106 drivers, aged between 25 and 70 years. This work had a quantitative-nonexperimental approach, with a cross-sectional design and correlational scope. For the evaluation, the Pittsburg questionnaire to measure sleep quality and the Wagnild and Young resilience scale were used. Data were analyzed using Spearman's correlation test using the statistical program Jamovi 2.3.28. The results revealed a low negative correlation, indicating that an increase in sleep quality might be associated with lower levels of resilience. 59.4% of the participants reported good sleep quality, while 29.2% showed very low levels of resilience. Importantly, no significant differences in resilience levels were found according to gender. These findings underscore the importance of promoting adequate sleep quality to improve mental health and work performance.
