    In the present work on solving a professional problem an analysis of the effectiveness of academic tutoring in academic performance of students of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Health is performed, for which a description of the process is carried out tutoring in the institution through reports and reports of guardians of the respective training project, in addition to students who are underperforming based on reports submitted by teachers identified. The results obtained it shows that most students attending tutorials manage to overcome their scores to be promoted to the next semester, but also evidence that some students fail to pass the semester despite not attending tutorials, it raises a proposal to implement personal tutoring view may be other factors responsible for poor academic performance
