Item Intervenciones de enfermería en vivencias frente al duelo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-09-28) López Villagrán, Damaris Xiomara; Jiménez Hurtado, William AndrésGrief is a psychological process that every human being experiences at some point in his or her life after a loss; the intensity and characteristics of this process can vary according to many aspects, such as the degree of emotional attachment, the nature of the loss and the characteristics of each person. The aim of the present study was to determine nursing interventions that contribute to coping with bereavement experiences. For this purpose, a quantitative, descriptive and crosssectional methodology was adopted through the Revised Texas Bereavement Inventory, which was used to measure the intensity of grief in the target population in a sample of 134 individuals in the period October 2022 to March 2023. A significant percentage of the evaluated population is experiencing a complicated or prolonged grief, which significantly affects their mental health and mood; it is normal in this process to reach a delayed grief or the absence of it, this depends on several factors such as time and actions that can be conceived as support to cope adequately with the process. With the results of the research it was possible to identify that a significant percentage of people require interventions to cope with grief, for which the diagnoses of this process were identified based on what is established by the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA), establishing interventions aimed at obtaining favorable results in coping with a loss.
