Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have become the engine of the economy in recent years, generating employment opportunities and meeting the demand for products and services in small markets. Despite this, SMEs face a serious problem with working capital, which can lead to illiquidity. This project examines the impact of financial resources management in the liquidity of the shoe company PRODUCALZA. This company does not have an easy access to credit to finance their activities, leading it to manage resources through informal sources with excessive interest payments, affecting its liquidity. Therefore, it has been considered to acquire such funding from an unusual system such as the stock market, which offers great advantages over other alternatives. Since PRODUCALZA is a sole proprietorship company, it cannot be registered in the stock market as mandated by the Securities Market Law of Ecuador; hence, it is here proposed to transform the company into a corporation.
