Item Diseño arquitectónico de un parque recreativo en la comunidad de Pataló Alto, parroquia Juan Benigno Vela, cantón Ambato(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA ARQUITECTURA, 2026-07-03) López Sánchez Ana Belén; González Camacho Cecibel Del Cisne; UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO; FACULTAD DE DISEÑO Y ARQUITECTURA CARRERA ARQUITECTURAThis work focuses on the design of a recreational park in the community of Pataló Alto, Juan Benigno Vela parish, as a space intended for meeting, recreation, and the development of community activities. The proposal seeks to complement the uses currently carried out in the former school, which stopped functioning as an educational unit and today hosts activities such as a community hall, CNH, a space for older adults, and a community kitchen. The topic is justified by the lack of an adequate public space that brings the community together and strengthens its social, -cultural, -and recreational dynamics. -This need shows the importance of creating an accessible, safe place close to the daily life of the inhabitants, where children, young people, adults, and older adults can live together, rest, play, and participate in activities typical of the sector. The methodology was developed through context analysis, -direct observation, - semi-structured interviews, -and the study of architectural references. -From this process, -the main needs of the community, -its ways of using space, -its cultural practices, -and the importance of maintaining a respectful relationship with the rural environment were identified. - As a result, -a recreational park is proposed with multipurpose covered areas, - children’s games, -resting spaces, accessible pathways, -green areas, -community gardens, -and a central plaza for activities such as the Raymis. -The use of wood, stone, -brick, clay, -straw, -vegetation, and earth tones reinforces local identity and recovers the value of public space for the well-being of its inhabitants.
