Item Diseño de una colección de indumentaria incorporando los procesos artesanales de la comunidad Quilloac – Cañar(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Diseño y Arquitectura. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-18) Jimenes Siguencia, Jennyfer Alexandra; Betancourt Chávez, Diego GustavoAt present, an endless number of fashion brands have emerged that incorporate crafts, art or artisanal and artistic processes in their proposals, some in order to preserve them, others to make their roots known. In this introductory framework fits the present project, whose purpose is the creation of a clothing collection in which the artisanal processes of the Cañari culture called Quilloac, in order to publicize the craftsmanship of Cañaris hands and interfere in the commercial market. Through the collection of bibliographic information and its respective analysis, it was found that in the Cañari culture five artisan branches are developed that are: textiles, ceramics, goldsmithing, carpentry and saddlery; through an interview within the community studied, it was observed that at present only the textile branch is practiced. Also, it was found that manual embroidery with beads has been incorporated, which is developed by women. Based on all the information provided, it was determined that the target group are men and women aged 25 to 35 years, for whom a proposal of coats containing artisanal processes such as loom weaving and manual embroidery was developed. The proposal meets the parameters chosen by the target group, and is a proposal that enhances the potential artisanal hands of cañaris.
