Item Funcionalidad familiar y adicción al internet en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-20) Guamán Flores, Alex Daniel; Tobar Viera, Andrea SusanaFamily functionality is a characteristic that provides organization and harmony within the family group, serves as a tool in effective conflict resolution, one of these is the problematic use of the Internet in adolescents, which can become an addiction and affect the different areas of personal development. The current investigation was carried out to determine the relationship between family functionality and internet addiction in adolescents from 12 to 18 years old in a private school from Ambato. The methodology that was used in the investigation was based on a quantitative approach of correlational level which allowed the collection of data in a sample of 320 students. The available tools for this study were the family functionality perception test (FF-SIL) as well as the internet addiction test (IAT). In this sense, the data was analyzed through the Jamovi statistical package. Data analysis was done using Spearman's Rho test, it was found a statistically significant negative correlation (p < .001 rho = -.0209). It was established that when the level of perceived family functionality is higher, the level of addiction to the Internet presented by adolescents is lower.
