RESILIENCIA Y HABILIDADES SOCIALES EN ADOLESCENTES
(2025-03-05) Granda Gualpa, Victoria Monserrath; Gaibor González, Ismael Álvaro; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica
Introduction: Resilience is a person's ability to adapt and recover from adversity, while social skills allow people to interact effectively and appropriately with others. Objective to determine whether there is a relationship between these variables. The Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (ER-14) and the Arnold Goldstein Social Skills Assessment Scale were applied to 94 Ecuadorian adolescent students. Methods: the study was cross-sectional and correlational. Conclusions: finding a moderate positive correlation between resilience and social skills; and low positive with skills related to feelings. Likewise, the majority of participants presented high and normal levels of resilience. On the other hand, men had a higher average resilience score than women, this difference was not significant.
