    La impulsividad y su relación con las estrategias de afrontamiento en adultos jóvenes”

    Impulsiveness is the predisposition of the human being to react in various ways to a stressor event, often react in an immediate or little reason and in others in a more stopped or thoughtful and this is determined by the strategies of Coping they present; Which implies a correlation between the variables mentioned. The main objective of this research project was to determine the existence of the relationship between impulsivity and coping strategies in young adults of the clinical psychology career of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato, being the sample with which was worked of 98 young adults aged 18 to 25 years. For the study was applied Barrat impulsiveness scale (BIS-11) and the CRI-A Coping response inventory- Adult form. As a result, impulsiveness was relating partially to three of eight coping strategies: cognitive avoidance, acceptance or resignation and emotional discharge. It was identified that about 3 out of 10 young adults have impulsiveness, in turn the coping strategies most used are: positive revaluation by 29.59% people, problem solving in 29.59% and logical analysis by 21.43% of people.
