The purpose of the present end-of-degree project is the design and construction of a cement mortar or plaster casting machine for surfaces, in order to reduce the time spent in the wall plastering process in the construction industry, and maximizing profits. A peristaltic pump is selected for the pumping of the mortar due to its ease of installation, maintenance, economy, and mechanical design of components. It is important to bear in mind that this pump works from the crushing of a hose so, it was tested and determined a force of approximately 1.8 kN. The appropriate motor was chosen to pump the mixture, and a compressor head was added so that at the exit of the mortar pump there is a spreading effect toward to the whole projected surface. Furthermore, the machine was designed and modeled with a software of mechanical design, the development of the project, and during the development of the project a prototype was manufactured at the mechanical workshop of the company “IMAQ”, where every single component specified in the drawings was built the help of machinery and adequate tools for the later on assembly of all the elements. Finally, the performance tests were executed for verifying that it complies with the parameters established in the design phase as well as a list all the costs are detailed, including the total value of the machine itself.
