Item Sistema Iot de monitoreo y control aplicado a la nutrición en la cuyicultura(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-09) Freire Barreno, Francisco Avelino; Guilcapi Mosquera, Jaime RodrigoThe cuyiculture is an important agricultural and livestock activity as a significant source of income generation in rural areas of Tungurahua. To ensure efficient and high-quality production, it is essential to monitor and control animal nutrition appropriately. A prototype was designed and implemented in the Quero canton of Tungurahua province on the Barreno family farm. This prototype serves the functions of monitoring key variables for the proper development of the animals (temperature, humidity, light, air quality, turbidity), as well as controlling a pump, a solenoid valve, a motor, and servomotors used to manage the nutritional aspect of the animals, which is progressively verified through a scale to determine their weight during the growth and fattening stage. The prototype is based on a three-layer IoT architecture with Arduino and ESP8266 microcontrollers as processing units. These microcontrollers collect data from sensors and transmit it through HTTP and IoT protocols to a database on a central server in the Google Cloud platform connected with Ubidots. The control of the actuators, as well as the feeding and vitamin dosing, is performed by the same sensors, enabling real-time control and precise dosing. Visual representation of the data is achieved through a web application designed with Ubidots, HTML, and Flask. The prototype underwent successful testing, which facilitated the verification of the guinea pigs' growth during the development and fattening stage. Agrocalidad and ISO standards were taken into account during its construction.
