    Aerial dance is an activity of recent appearance in Ecuador, companies are not directed to produce specialized clothing for aerial dance and there is little information on the clothing characteristics for specialized clothing for this sport. For this reason, it has been possible to identify the difficult access by users for the acquisition of this type of clothing. The objective of this research project is to study the characteristics of specialized clothing for the practice of aerial dance in the city of Quito, through the investigation of the needs related to the technique of body movement during the development of physical activities. -artistic applied in this artistic sport, in order to be able to define the suitable clothing factors and elements in order to establish and develop the functional characterization of specialized clothing so that it adapts to the body like a second skin. As a result of the analysis of the characteristics of specialized clothing, it is intended to meet the needs of the market with this type of clothing, and reduce its high costs, and due to the entry of imported products, which affect the textile industry and dress. Defining the appropriate clothing characteristics for the neuromuscular coordination of athletes allows them to develop their spatial and rhythmic sense and thus improve their physical abilities to optimally perform the sport of aerial dance.
