The potato tuber moth, Phthorimaea operculella (Zeller) (Lepidoptera: Gellechidae) is considered a key pest in potato crops due to damage caused by larvae by drilling tunnels in tubers and leaf and stem mines. Currently this pest species is widely distributed in all the main potato growing areas worldwide due to the difficulty of establishing effective quarantine measures and, on the other hand, the effect of the change, which has caused the pest to occur in more than a hundred countries. In this study, an attempt was made to design a predictive model on the

Programación de riego para los híbridos domador y avenger de brócoli (Brassica oleracea var. Itálica)
(2017) Corrales Gutiérrez, Paúl Andrés; Gutiérrez A., Alberto
The research work titled "Irrigation scheduling for broccoli Domador and Avenger hybrids (Brassica oleracea var. Italica)" was carried out with the objective of Calculating the correct irrigation for a higher yield between the broccoli Domador and Avenger hybrids In the Querochaca experimental teaching farm owned by the Technical University of Ambato, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, located in the Cevallos canton, Tungurahua province. Its geographic coordinates are 01 ° 21 'South latitude and 78 ° 36' West longitude, at an altitude of 2865 meters above sea level. The random block design was applied, factorial 2 x 3 with 4 repetitions, and Tukey significance tests were performed at 5% for treatments that were significant, where the following results were obtained: Plant stem, the treatment that had the best result was the hybrid of 100% irrigation, the treatment with the hybrid Domador at 150% of irrigation was the one that presented the best results for the variables, Leaf area exposed at 30 days , Equatorial diameter of the pellet, weight of the pellet and yield, for the variable leaf area exposed at 45 days the hybrid Tamer with irrigation dose at 50% presented better results while for the variables Leaf area exposed at 70 days, Final leaf area and Nitrogen content in the plant the best results showed was the Avenger hybrid with 50% irrigation dose, the irrigation dose calculation showed 40.26 mm of irrigation for the crop cycle in the months The research work with the following irrigation schedule, 1st week 1.88 mm, 2nd week 5.60 mm, 3rd week 2.60 mm, 7th week 0.28 mm, 9th week 8.15 mm, 10th week 3, 84 mm, 12 th week 12,45 mm and 13 th week 5.51 mm, for weeks 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, irrigation was not applied because rainfall was greater than the amount of water required by the crop .
