    This research was conducted at Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi, whose goal was to design the Nursing Career Project in this educative institution, with the relevance and formulation required by CES; this was possible thanks to the development of this career-relevance-diagnosis, development of macro and meso-curricular phases and the Nursing Career- curricular design proposal . Once this research was completed, it is possible to show that public and private employers, as well as nurses and male nurses, who put into practice their profession at Zone I, consider that nurse practitioners must have a profile that is relevant to the needs of labor market, whose skills must address leadership, humanism, critical and logical thinking, teamwork, scientific knowledge, oriented toward taking care of human beings and the development of abilities and skills to be applied in the health-disease process, making it necessary the curriculum design of the Nursing Career at Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi.
