Item Diseño geométrico y del pavimento de la vía Llangahua – Silipo – Pinllopata pertenecientes a las provincias de Tungurahua y Cotopaxi en el tramo km 4+000 – 8+000(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2024-02) Chimbana Agualongo, Jairo Eliecer; Moreira Cedeño, Fricson LutgardoThe elaboration of the present Technical Project arises in response to the identified need to establish a connection between the rural communities of Llangahua – Silipo – Pinllopata located between the Provinces of Tungurahua and Cotopaxi, reducing travel times, and promoting the economic and social development of the intervened areas and their surroundings. In this research, the topographic survey was carried out by extracting orthophotos using a drone. A traffic study was conducted by manually counting vehicles in the area adjacent to the project, obtaining a future TPDA of 94 vehicles/day and an equivalent number of axles of 80,833 for the year 2043, defining the road as a Class IV local road. The geometric design was drawn using Ecuadorian MTOP 2003 regulations and suggestions from the Peruvian DG-2014. For the structural pavement design, a soil study was conducted through laboratory tests, resulting in a design CBR of 7.942 percent. Applying the AASHTO-93 Method, thicknesses of 5cm for the asphalt layer, 15cm for granular base class 4, and 20cm for granular subbase class 3 were established. Additionally, horizontal and vertical signage was integrated on the road to provide safety and comfort to the user. Finally, the indicative budget for the project was prepared, establishing items, work volumes, and technical specifications, thus providing a clear understanding of the resources needed for the proposal's execution.
