This project presents the need to introduce an emergency disassembly system in the seats of interprovincial buses. Because, if a bus has an accident or overturns, there are no emergency stretchers that can cover all the injured passengers and take them to the medical center immediately. First, information was collected for the development of the finite element analysis and the acceptance and rejection criteria according to the NTE INEN 2708 standard, under which the analyses were carried out. Subsequently, the structure was designed, considering the design parameters according to the regulations in force. Then the simulation was carried out with a series of finite element tests of the seat structure considering the different degrees of inclination and the displacements suffered in each one were observed, in addition, to verify its resistance, to provide reliability at the time of the presentation of the prototype, the data obtained in the different tests were recorded and compared with the requirement values of the current regulations in order to support the quality and safety, and thus facilitate the construction. Finally, the technical drawings were drawn up and the seat structure was built together with the emergency disassembly system and its operation was verified. This project aimed to facilitate the rescue of passengers injured in a bus accident and to reduce the assistance time of the emergency services, which would increase the survival rate of the injured passengers.
