Item Cuadriplejía Espástica como Consecuencia de Traumatismo Craneoencefálico Severo a Causa de Accidente de Tránsito(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Terapia Física, 2016-06-01) Chacón Flores, Jessica Valeria; Salazar Tupiza, Lisseth Marisol Lcda.This case report explains all the medical events that arose from a fall from a moving vehicle of an 8-year-old boy to return to school. Because he suffered severe head trauma decompressive surgery (craniotomy), in which both parietal and frontal part of leaving a residual spastic quadriplegia were extracted was necessary. During the stay in the intensive care unit of a medical home it acquired endocarditis, which led him to suffer extreme malnutrition. In another nursing home he had given a tracheostomy tube withouth asepsia norms that could caused an infection. His state was treated by a multidisciplinary team but had several shortcomings that risked their lives. It is related how was the attention in each health unit and whether it was the right or brought complications. At the end an alternate physiotherapic treatment is proposed in order to improve his status and provide a better quality of life.
