    El sector calzado: Los clúster naturales y su comportamiento en la región central del Ecuador

    Local and national economies of Ecuador are immersed in the different productive activities, among the largest contribution are manufacturing of textiles, leather and related sectors that have a significant participation in the contribution to national GDP, it was considered necessary to study in the footwear sector, since it generates value added to the country's productive matrix. It is understood as a cluster group of companies located all huddled together in a given geographical location, with the same productive activity, which collaborate strategically between business networks in order to obtain benefits. In the present work, a questionnaire was validated before raised in the same theme, a tool that was used to know the characteristics and behavior of the footwear manufacturing cluster in the Central Region of Ecuador. In addition it was necessary the application of an econometric model to determine the relationship between employment and the natural cluster.
