    This technical project focuses on the repowering of an Epson printer, design, construction and operation tests of a horizontal movement system, with the purpose of allowing direct printing on the polyester fabric. First the selection of the type of ink suitable for printing was made, with the pigmented inks being the best option according to the proposed parameters, then the system of movement of the stage was selected taking into account the transmission of power, the speed in the movement, the ease of manufacture, increased strength and cost of assembly, such as the screw system the most suitable. The system of the transmission system, the transmission system, the theoretical part and the analytical one were already selected, the design parameters of the platform, the diameters of the axes, the selection of the bearings were determined, the system torque was calculated , the bearings were designed in a mechanical design software and for the control system were used elements such as stepper motor and its driver, limit switches, pushbuttons, power board and a voltage source, which are related to the diagram connection and control. Finally, the components were assembled and performance tests were carried out to meet the expectations of the MAKAMBA Company.
