    Introduction: leadership is the ability that a person has to be able to influence the thinking and attitudes of another, with the aim of achieving the stated objectives. In this, reference is made to each leadership style implemented by nursing since it does not It is not only responsible for patient care but also for maintaining a harmonious environment among the health team. Objective: Analyze leadership styles and the role of nursing in the health team. Methodology: Systematic review developed with databases such as Pubmed, Elseiver, Scielo and Scopus, within the last five years to give greater veracity to the information written. Results: Leadership becomes an aspect of vital importance within nursing since one of the roles that this profession develops is to be a leader; this requires skills and attitudes that add to the health team. Conclusion: Within the health team, nursing is vital because this profession interacts with other professionals and provides direct care with quality and warmth. Leadership also characterizes each nurse because when implemented, obvious changes will be seen in both the patient and the patient.
