    The purpose of this project was to make an investigation on the limited development of emotional intelligence and academic success of students. Among its objectives have; determine the causes and effects of inadequate development of emotional intelligence, investigate the grade, check the level of academic success and propose strategies for developing it. The theoretical frame was based with the paradigm-purposing critical because it will solve the problem identified. In the methodology the qualitative and quantitative approach to human behavior the ethical and moral values were determined was framed. He leaned on research: Countryside, literature, documentary. The techniques used were the survey, interview and test; for which a questionnaire, an interview guide and a test was developed, considering the variables identified and the research objectives. It is intended that this project achieves eradicate the poorly developed emotional intelligence and turn develop academic success. In this research a guide of methodological strategies in order to help develop emotional intelligence and academic success of students was developed.
