Maestría en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y Ambiental, 2015) Borja Mayorga, Danielita Fernanda; Córdova Suarez, Manolo AlexanderABSTRACT The present research work is a estudy of the termal metabolic conditions in the named ROSELY FLOWERS in the post-harvesting section in the packing área. The objective is to develop a Prevention Program against systemic disorders. The study stars by identifying the presence of skeletal- muscle disorders on workers with higher exposure to a cold setting. This information was gathered from the medical department. After that, the highest risk factors were identified by using the qualitative matrix that considers probability and consequence. In order to deepen this research, a study on the thermal metabolic conditions is performed in the cold rooms. The study is base don the Norm method called UNE-ENISO TR 11079:2009. It corresponds to all the positions with exposure to cold setting. These studies reached a determined level of cloting protection (clo), and maximun time exposure (h). The deep study of thermal metabolic conditions determines that the partially unbearable risk factors for this analyzed working system are as follows: the working temperatura, convective air flow, and the worker protection. The Prevention Program for systemic for systemic disoders determines control measures concerning the aspect established as high risk for controlling the ssource, the means and the receptor.Item Contaminantes químicos del aire interior y su incidencia en la afectación de la salud de los trabajadores de los laboratorios de instituciones de educación superior(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y Ambiental, 2018) Tene Salazar, Oscar Fabián; Córdova Suarez, Manolo AlexanderEXECUTIVE SUMMARY The internal environmental conditions have led to the development of concepts such as sick building, air quality or interior environmental quality, all aimed at understanding the complexity of pollutants in closed environments and the implications on the health of the population. The objective of the research work was to analyze the chemical pollutants in indoor air and its impact on the health of workers in the laboratories of the Technical University of Ambato. The methodology to carry out the identification, measurement and evaluation is based on the UNE 171330-2 standard, emphasizing the physical-chemical contaminants such as: temperature, relative humidity, CO, CO2, VOC, PM2,5. The evaluation of indoor air quality parameters in the laboratories of the Technical University of Ambato concludes that: 86.61% of the laboratories do not comply with the levels of CO2 concentration, 33.04% do not comply with the interior temperature , 20.53% in relative humidity, 5.35% in particulate material PM 2.5 and 0.90% in carbon monoxide. With the use of the questionnaire carried out, it is determined that 71% of the population has presented some discomfort or affection to their health related to indoor air quality. The general hypothesis of the investigation shows that there is a direct relationship between the pollutants and the health of the occupants. After the identification, measurement and evaluation of the chemical contaminants present in the laboratories, the design and simulation of a natural ventilation system for an average laboratory was carried out, with the application of materials, dimensions, distribution and adequate natural ventilation. guarantees the elimination of chemical contaminants, the regulation and control of the thermo-hygrometric parameters of the environment.Item Estudio de las vibraciones mecánicas en el personal de operación de maquinaria pesada del EPM-GIDSA y su incidencia en las condiciones laborales(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Diseño Mecánico, 2016) Paredes Robalino, María Belén; Córdova Suarez, Manolo AlexanderThe present research work aims the study of mechanical vibrations caused by heavy machinery on the staff who operates it at the EPM - GIDSA and its incidence on their working conditions. Thanks to the hypothetic - deductive method, it was proved that the operators of heavy machinery are exposed to high dose of mechanical vibrations affecting directly the orthogonal axis hand – arm, which is of 1,10 to their right and left hands, and a dose of 1.18 to their whole body. The study indicates that the exposition to high levels of vibration affects their working conditions. With the found results, it is necessary to develop a plan of maintenance of heavy machinery to prevent more damages on the operating staff, eliminating mechanical vibrations through the correct use of protective equipment.Item Evaluación de riesgos mecánicos y su incidencia en el índice de accidentes laborales en el área de mantenimiento de camiones hidrogrúa(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y Ambiental, 2017) Amancha Guangasi, Diego Javier; Córdova Suarez, Manolo AlexanderLa presente investigación consiste en la evaluación de los riesgos mecánicos en el área de mantenimiento de camiones hidrogrúa y la incidencia que tienen en el índice de accidentes laborales, para lo cual se toma como caso de estudio en ESCOING CIA. LTDA. Entre los factores de riesgo identificados constan golpes con objetos móviles o inmóviles, caídas al mismo o a diferente nivel, atrapamiento entre objetos, contactos térmicos, caída de objetos desprendidos, cortes y laceraciones. Se efectúa la medición y evaluación de los riesgos a través del método FINE, que evidencia que existe un grado de peligro GP Medio y Alto, que varía según el puesto de trabajo y proceso. Al mismo tiempo, mediante la revisión del historial de accidentabilidad, de acuerdo a lo establecido por Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social, se determina que el índice de accidentes laborales, expresado a través de la tasa de riesgo TR se ubica en 2, la cual depende de los índices de frecuencia y de gravedad de las lesiones. Estos sucesos han provocado una incapacidad permanente parcial en las víctimas, lo que refleja que la situación amerita tomar acciones de intervención. Como una alternativa de solución a la problemática se establece un programa de prevención de accidentes laborales por factores de riesgo mecánico en el área de mantenimiento de camiones hidrogrúa, enfocado en el control y la vigilancia de la salud.Item Las radiaciones ionizantes por rayos X y su incidencia en la salud de los trabajadores del área de soldadura en la empresa de fabricación de tolvas de volqueta(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y Ambiental, 2018) Calero Rodríguez, Oswaldo Leonardo; Córdova Suarez, Manolo AlexanderABSTRACT The present research consists of the study of the ionizing radiation by X-rays and its incidence in the health of the workers of the welding area in a hoppers of tipper truck manufacturing company. As a case of study was considered the company I.M.ESCO of the Ambato city, which usually works with the GMAW welding process. Based on the evaluation, it is determined that the effective dose of X-rays ionizing radiation in the welding area is low, since the values are located at 4.3547 and 11.1096 mSv per year, for the assembly sections and mounting, respectively; Which are lower than the maximum permissible threshold for radiation safety, which is 50 mSv per year according to NTP 614. However, workers have had headaches, reddening of the skin, cataracts in the eyes, myopia, edema, and blisters; although the incidence of cancer is not recorded. In addition, the company has not implemented preventive measures for monitoring the health of workers. In order to improve the current conditions, a radiation protection program was designed to reduce the risk of occupational exposure to ionizing radiation in the welding area of I.M.ESCO.
