    Modelo econométrico de consumo privado para el Ecuador en el período 1990-2015

    The macroeconomic dimension contains a deep and enriching knowledge that solidifies its roots in theoretical postulates, subject to the verification of statistical hypotheses, which is achieved through the application of mathematical procedures, which culminates in the science of econometrics. This is the conjugation of economic theory with statistics, differentiating it in this way from many similar subjects and opening the way to establish if the economy is really a science, in the international debates. Unfortunately, this investigation project is not intended to ensure that vigorous proposition, but if it is aimed at providing a multivariate economic model on consumption (in macro terms) for the Ecuadorian case. In itself, consumption is a very important variable in how much it contributes in greater proportion to the gross domestic product. Therefore, all the existing theory about consumption is required and this entails to harmonize the diverse currents or schools of economic thought, to synthesize a model that identifies the main variables that could influence the consumption of the Ecuadorian households. The research project focuses on reaching the proposed objectives, starting from the theory, incursion the methodological framework, to point out the best econometric model that fits the theory and finally the results obtained are presented, especially the econometric inferences. Which are subject to all the contrasts, with the firm fulfillment of the assumptions of Gauss-Markov, to validate the models. In the end, the conclusions obtained are clearly highlighted. Obviously, the research work complies with the parameters established by the APA sixth edition, as well as the current regulations of the resolutions given by the Technical University of Ambato.
