    This research aims to describe the market structure of the manufacturing sector mattresses in Ecuador CIIU C310005, in which the degree of concentration will be detailed in the sector, if companies that develop within this economic activity have power market and what the implications of exercise are also trying to determine the relationship of the external sector with the possibility of obtaining benefits from the surplus of the balance exceeding consumer. It accordingly, proceeded to structure three models of linear regression by which it will be checked if the most representative market firms have exercised power over this, if they can potentially do and how corporate profitability responds to income levels the population, and shows if there is impact by the external sector expressed through the exchange rate in sales volumes manufacturers of mattresses. By statistical inference the influence of exchange rate competitiveness in the context of dollarization that depending on the exchange rate of the main supplier countries mattress sets limitations on the ability to exercise market power by companies in markets described considerably concentrates.
