    Involvement of parents is essential in teaching - learning and when problems directly affecting the Academic Performance arises, as it influences emotionally, physically students and having problems or difficulties within the family unit students do not perform very satisfactorily. Currently the participation of parents shows poor level of participation in academic activities of students, due to different causes such as migration of parents to other countries, lack of time, lack of employment among others, making it difficult the learning process. The situation described above justifies the need for educational workshops to parents so they can raise awareness and participate in academic activities of students, thereby promoting a change in academic performance in their school activities.
