| Resumen : | The following research is aimed at the analysis of a clinical case belonging to an adult male older than 69 years of age who was diagnosed 5 years ago with Huntington's disease, one of the least common neurodegenerative disorders worldwide and classified as one of the most fatal, giving a prognosis of life between 10 to 15 years after the onset of the disease. A complete analysis of the current state of the patient was carried out to compare the changes that may be obtained with the treatment that has been proposed according to their needs, which was predestined to be developed in a time limit of 3 months, with different daily interventions of anhour. An important step of the treatment that was applied to the patient was to develop several functional activities, which were: swallowing therapy, gait and balance, motor relearning, reeducation of Activities of Daily Living (ADL), passive mobility of upper and lower limbs and music therapy, but as a result no favorable response was obtained due to other types of factors that were specified in the following investigation |
| Descripción : | La siguiente investigación va dirigida al análisis de caso clínico perteneciente a un varón adulto mayor de 69 años de edad que fue diagnosticado desde hace 5 años con Corea de Huntington, uno de los trastornos neurodegenerativos menos comunes a nivel mundial y catalogado como uno de los más mortales, dando un pronóstico de vida entre 10 a 15 años posteriores al inicio de la enfermedad. Se realizó un análisis completo del estado actual del paciente para ir comparando los cambios que puede ir obteniendo con el tratamiento que se le ha planteado según sus necesidades, el cual estuvo predestinado a desarrollarse en un tiempo límite de 3 meses, con distintas intervenciones diarias de una hora. Como parte del tratamiento que se aplicó al paciente, se desarrollaron varias actividades funcionales las cuales fueron: terapia deglutoria, marcha y equilibrio, reaprendizaje motor, reeducación de las Actividades de la Vida Diaria (AVD), movilidad pasiva de miembros superiores e inferiores y musicoterapia, pero como resultado no se obtuvo ninguna respuesta favorable a causa de otro tipo de factores que se especificaran en la siguiente investigación |
