Descripción : The objective of this research was to carry out an analysis of the single income tax and what was its impact on the tax collection of the sector dedicated to the production and export of bananas during the periods 2014 and 2015; given that, the taxpayers dedicated to the activity A0122.01.01 Banana and plantain cultivation and G4630.11.01 Wholesale of bananas and bananas constitute an important part of the total collection and this in turn is a significant source of income for the General Budget of the Status as from that, the methodology used is given by a quantitative approach because the study was based on the collection of numerical data from official sources such as the Internal Revenue Service (SRI), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries as well as official sources of the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB) which were processed in their entirety and are described throughout this document. On the other hand, it was also necessary to develop a bibliographic study, which allowed to gather theoretical information to support the variables under study (single income tax and tax collection). Regarding the scope of the investigation, the study shows us the collection behavior of this tax starting from the period 2012 to 2014 where the percentage of calculation of 2% over the total gross sales, reforming for 2015 in order to have a greater tax control and encourage production creates the Organic Law of Incentives for the Production and Prevention of Tax Fraud with a fractional tax calculation that starts from 0.5% to 2% based on the number of boxes sold, observing a notable increase in This tax collection is how the present study aims to be taken as a basis to observe and determine the collection behavior of this tax in subsequent years.
