Caracterización de la curva de consumo diario de la red de distribución de agua potable del sector La Matriz I del cantón Ambato

Abstract

The present experimental work is located in the south center of the city of Ambato, exactly in the Matriz parish. Its objective is to make known the consumption data of drinking water that is generated daily by the inhabitants of the sector, as well as the composition of type homes, and in number of average sanitary appliances and also know the consumption behavior. This investigation began with the collection of information during a period of 60 days, in which relevant information was collected to carry out an in-depth analysis of the variations of drinking water consumption, by using a mini-camera data was collected every hour during 7 consecutive days to perform an analysis of hourly consumption, pressure data was also collected for 7 days to see what the variations in the distribution network are. Once the information was collected, a statistical analysis was carried out, generating tables and figures based on the surveys conducted and the data obtained, resulting in: daily consumption patterns and hourly consumption patterns, pressure variations, per capita consumption throughout the study area, hourly consumption and time patterns. After the analysis, we worked on a GIS software that helped us to represent and interpolate per-capita consumption information, with a maximum value of 296.01 lt/hab/day and pressures with values ranging from 11 to 41 m.c.a to translate them into a representative map with legends that help us understand the variations of per-capita consumption on the one hand and the variations of pressures on the other.
