Estudio y caracterización hidráulica del óvalo 10 al 13 del canal de riego Ambato - Huachi - Pelileo, cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

The execution of the experimental work effected in two parts, the first one all related to the physical characteristics of the Huachi Pelileo channel, where the topography has been realized in situ by the total station, followed by the compilation information of punctual speeds with the small mill of the transverse sections approximately to every 500m in straight sections themselves that integrate the designated subproject that goes from the abscissa 5+400 up to the abscissa 8+100. Finally, on having had all the physical and topographic characteristics of the channel the numerical modeling has realized in the software HEC-RAS (Version 5.0.5), simulating of form independent from each one of the sections for which based on the average and soaked flow of each one, followed by the calibration of Manning's coefficient the average speed is obtained, and a general simulation in such a way that the obtained coefficients it is distributed proportionally between the sections. With the present project wants to contribute a more royal study of the hydraulic characteristics of the Huachi - Pelileo channel and as well as a reference of the behavior of the flow in the channel.
