La ilustración y su aporte al valor cultural de la ciudad de Latacunga

Abstract

Latacunga is a small city located in the center of Ecuador, a city that was subscribed as a historic center belonging to the State Cultural Heritage on May 25, 1982, however, citizens have very low knowledge about their environment, a problem that lies in the detachment and neglect of the historic center and the lack of interest of authorities and citizens, not having information within an appropriate means, young people do not show interest, creating a knowledge gap that is transmitted inside and outside the city, taking as the only reference of the city to the folkloric and gastronomic aspects. The research focuses on the dissemination of information on the aspects that have a stronger degree of remembrance, without taking into account the popular feast of the Mama Negra and gastronomy, the surveys carried out on young men and women between 18 and 24 years old. to the churches as elements of the city that require a reinforcement of information, because this public begins to leave the city concluding its stage of the school and has a slightly stronger idea about these historical colonial aspects of Latacunga that require a diffusion correct through appropriate means with an attractive graphic management, direct and easy to interpret as is the minimalist illustration. The import of this project is to provide an investigative contribution on the aspects with which young people who complete their collegiate stage feel identified and shown outside the city, research that will help determine the degree of knowledge about their city and appropriation of this , generating a contribution to the cultural value of Latacunga through illustration.
