Abstract

The investigation is carried out in an analytical context which has as main objective to determine the incidence of patellar tendonitis in the athletes who practice basketball and are part of the Sports Federation of Tungurahua (FDT) due to the sporting gesture present when practicing this sport discipline to What to this pathology is attributed the name of jumper's knee, reason why a bibliographical revision of the medical histories of the medical department of the FDT is realized; This research is descriptive and documentary design because we will acquire information through an analysis of the clinical records of the medical department of the Sports Federation of Tungurahua.
